Little orphan Annie is taken from her orphanage, and the clutches of evil Miss Hannigan, to stay at billionaire Oliver Warbuck’s mansion for the holidays. When Annie wins the hearts of Warbucks and his staff, they set out on an epic mission to find Annie’s parents. Meanwhile, Miss Hannigan, in partnership with her brother Rooster and his girlfriend Lily, attempt to make some money out of this unique situation. The production gives the audience a preview of some possible future shows, including Broadway hits Mamma Mia, Matilda, Miss Saigon, The Lion King and The Phantom of the Opera."

With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record - the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not so bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, a female aviator and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
